Now, since there are so many different mobile browsers, devices and sizes, what do you design for? Yes, you can go ahead and code a thousand different CSS files but is that really needed?

Well, think of it this way, The iPhone and Android are the devices that are really kicking of the mobile web and so by making your website compatible with them, you can be sure to have the majority of users who are likely to visit your site on mobile devices to have a pleasant time!

Many people desgin top notch ace websites out there and sped hundreds of hours behind them. Little do they realise that a lot of their effort and hard work is going to go to waste.

One thing many designers and developers don’t look upon mobile as too important and don’t realise just how much people use mobiles.

So when their flagship website and design goes live, a lot of the public will be disatisfied and move along quick as the will not be able to access the site with its full features due incompatibility with mobiles!!

So, the moral? Keep mobiles in mind!!!

Opera Mini has been growing steadily in popularity during last few months and now it has as well been voted as the best mobile browser. Opera Software in answer to this has released a long awaited beta of the newest version of Mini 5. By kicking up the number Opera boosted the usability and user experience of the browser. Now all-new Opera Mini 5 is more similar to its older sister, it has the upgraded SpeedDial which allows you to store the most important bookmarks on the starting page of the app for quick access, and now even remove them or edit even more easily.

Mini 5 reads almost any pages, those little, those heavy as well and it’s extremely well prepared for displaying them, although the rendering engine does not like JavaScript on most pages, as well as the beta has some problems with rendering anchor links (some of them are redirecting to the same page you’re on while they shouldn’t). Apart from that it’s a new quality. Now we are waiting for the full download support for all devices as so far all downloads are being processed by the device’s built-in browser.

Opera Mini 5 beta is available for download for almost any devices including newest touchscreens like Nokia N97 or 6800, iPhone 3Gs, Sony Ericssons, etc. from Opera’s mobile site.
